McNamara Update - September 27, 2024

Thank you to our McNamara community for a terrific curriculum night on Wednesday! It was fantastic to see all of our proud students showing their families around the building. Our teachers and staff were very excited to meet so many families!

Please be on the lookout for parent-teacher conference sign-ups. Our first day for conferences is next week. There is no school on Thursday, October 3 for a full day of conferences.

Principal - McNamara Elementary School

McNamara will be conducting an emergency lockdown drill on September 30th. This required annual drill is part of NYS mandated requirements and a component of our district and building safety plan. When the drill commences next week, you will receive notification that the drill is being conducted via ParentSquare. During the drill students will be instructed what to do in the event of a real emergency following safety protocols outlined in our district's safety plan. The drill being conducted is scheduled to last approximately 10 minutes. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to update and practice our safety and security measures for our students and staff.

McNamara will have its author visit on Tuesday, October 15. Ross Burach, author and illustrator of "The Very Impatient Caterpillar" series will present to grades K-5. Check out the flier below to order books for Ross Burach to sign during the visit. River's End Bookstore has offered a 20 percent discount on each book ordered. Fliers will go home this week. Our 2024-2025 McNamara Yearbooks are available for purchase! Please click the link below to order. Yearbooks cost $11.11 prior to December 13. After that time they go up in price to $13.89.
