Dear McNamara Families,

State testing for grades 3-5 begins next week. Our students have been working hard all year, and we know they will do their best! We have a small window for make-ups, but appreciate every effort to make sure our students are in attendance on these days. The testing schedule is below:

New York State Testing Schedule:

May 4 & 5 - Grades 3-5 ELA State Assessment

May 7 - Grade 5 Science State Assessment

May 11 & 12 - Grades 3-5 Math State Assessment

Upcoming Lockdown Drill

McNamara will be conducting an emergency lockdown drill during the week of April 27. This required annual drill is part of NYS mandated requirements and a component of our district and building safety plan. When the drill commences this week, you will receive notification that the drill is being conducted via ParentSquare. During the drill students will be instructed what to do in the event of a real emergency following safety protocols outlined in our district's safety plan. The drill being conducted is scheduled to last approximately 10 minutes. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to update and practice our safety and security measures for our students and staff.

Upcoming Fire Drills

Pending the weather, our school will be conducting Fire Drills (emergency evacuation) during the week of April 27. These annual drills are part NYS mandated requirements and a component of our district and building safety plan. During the fire drills students will be supervised by our staff and instructed on what to do in the event of an actual emergency evacuation. The drills being conducted are scheduled to last approximately 10 minutes.
